Rather than trivialise the recent flood events in Queensland and NSW with dopey quips about Noah - will just post these links for overseas readers. Am, of course, "above it all" at 1100mtres (3600ft) near the tops of the NSW hills; but the images and videos still provoked a tiny tear.
Have just been watching this video

From this site which has comprehensive coverage.

It is so enormous to get our heads around :(
mm, am remembering the three floods at Mayborough Q. Had, however, plenty of warning from Gympie.
.. and was in control of an eight ton ketch in the river at that, or in, those times.
I logged in today mainly to check if you are okay. Up in the hills seems to be good. Floods are terrifying.
My Grandson Dylan who lives in Queensland, informs me he lives on a hill, a bit isolated but safe.
