A bit warm, today

35 degrees Celcius - in the shade. 45 degrees Celsius in the sun light. Sheesh.

And here's me wondering whether the reindeers of Saint Nicholas ... or the Coca Cola version of Santa Claus - will have the stamina to visit Australia this year.

Ah, but we all live in HOPE ... heh.

"Old King Coal" was also a "Merry Old Sod" .. but am seriously wondering why our Feds seem quite happy to grant a billion or two to an Indian 'Coal mining enterprise' for a 400 kilometre private railway to transport coal dust to a port very close the the GREAT barrier reef

-- and can't really comprehend why some of us peasants are somewhat annoyed.

Seriously ... sunshine ... something that Australia has - probably - more abundance of, than anyone in the Northern Hemisphere ...

Gah, my logics must have been destroyed by watching "commercial" television for too long.

Seriously, Amerika doesn't really have to put "Troops on the ground" they have ... more or less, used the 'subtle invasion' - ownership and control of "television" ...
(and yes, Debra, i really do try to seek out whatever Canada TV attempts to sneak through into Australia .. meh).

Have a cool Yule, Davoh, or as cool as the Oz temperature will allow. And very best wishes to you for 2017. May it be better than 2016 and increasingly good as time goes by.

Um, Natalie, am aware of the "Yuletide' festivals; but have to remind you that A). pine trees are a bit hard to find where i live. B), have no internal household fireplace and C), there happens to an "EXTREME fire danger" alert in this neighborhood.

Can i think about the premises behind 'Yuletide' until later ...?
