um, yep, it's a 'Wedgie' .. (Wedge-tail eagle Aquila audax) .. just goes to show that even the most magnificent of sky birds have to eat carrion, on occasion .. heh.
(have to apologise, slightly, for the quality of the image. Had driven about 500 yards past the roo on the road before i noticed the eagle in the rear-view mirror. Then had to take the pic 'hand-held' at full zoom).

Oh, I see, sorry... I looked at the picture enlarged and see that it's a roo that's being fed on so it must be an Austral. species.
