Sydney on Sunday

Am fairly sure that quite a lot of people consider me to be quite mad mentally unstable a somewhat isolated alcoholic eccentric. It has, actually, been quite a while since I've had a chance (or incentive, or spare finance) to have a look and see what the "Big Smoke", or large group of "normal" people - is like so, after due thought and consideration, have decided to catch the train to Sydney on Sunday,

Take me with you, Davo. I've never been. Show me the sights, please. Or just tread in the footsteps of Arthur Stace and write Eternity on the paving stones as you go.

Ah, Vincent footsteps. Um, am allowing self only one day there, and back - the train journey is 3hrs each way.

mm, retracing the footsteps of Arthur Stace (there is a book, somewhere) - visiting Rookwood cemetery .. William Chidley; subject of the play "No room for Dreamers" .. heh ..

The plan, so far. OK. Have to drive motor vehicle 30-40 minutes to Lithgow, park it. According to the 'online' Train timetable there is conveyance departing 07.36 from Lithgow station - arriving Sydney central at (ok, will give 'em a break) roughly 10.30am. Rally, in a park next to sydney central railway station, is scheduled to begin at 11am.

Vincent, will, to the best of my ability, take cameras - and try to "get there".

.. and yep, there is a plan b, always remembering that 'local' governments are responsible - or not - and there could be an 'inexplicable' change in 'services'.

As an investigative journalist, infiltrating the ranks of climate-protesters, your words and pictures will be eagerly devoured, Davo(h).

But if you fall by the wayside through circumstances ganging up beyond your control, so be it.

.. heh, doubt if there will be any "ganging up" against little old me, Vincent ...

.. and "climate protesters" .. nah, am cynic - well, at least to the point of "no new tax' which translates into ........

"No new spending" .. on basic infrastucture - roads, railways, hospitals, health care, schools or universities that do not "support belief".

heh, Vincent, i did ask around - for someone to 'follow' me with a "supplied" camera. Nup, have to 'do' this - on my own. Expect little.
