Except some sort of capitalist exploitation. The writer is a 3rd generation Indigenous Australian. Not, i might add, Aboriginal - two different concepts.
.. and if anyone is wondering what all that was about - took my dog for a walk along the local road. Yep, this time she was 'on leash', but everyone else's dogs are apparently permanently caged, and went ballistic.
You're forgiven .. rather liked 'had' (shades of 'has been'), but that's my peculiar sense of humour. Am still unsure on the spelling of 'aberance'; must look that one up .. heh.
The post was also prompted by an incident whereby I noticed that one of the 'local' dogs was loose. Big, boofhead bruiser of a 'hunting' dog. I followed it down to Andy's where he has a whole heap of 'free range' chooks, ducks, and various other animals. Captured the 'big bruiser', took it back to the owner - who bloody near 'bit my head off'. "Don't touch my effin' dog!!" sort of thing. Gah. Some people.
