What else does one do with bits of a tree?

One of the responses to a previous post was 'bastard, tree murderer'. Interesting.

Is the preference mashing them into pulp for the profit of daily "news"? ..
or ..

Heh.

.. the "inlay" is offcuts from a Queensland Silky Oak, everything else is plywood (apart from the metal and plastic bits)..in case anyone was wondering.

BBC, i rarely do what am told .. or even "asked" for that matter .. but have changed the link to "Uncensored Spirit" .. hope that that satisfies both compulsions .. heh.

And yup, i made 'em .. but have to admit to a fair amount of assistance from the machinery in a fully equipped Carpentry workshop at the time (1997).

Kathy, the Silky Oak inlay box was made in response to a long discussion that i had some time ago about the inroads (and frustrations) of "writing" via the complex and expensive machinery of computers. It was designed to be filled with two reams of A4 paper, and at the bottom of that box is a sheet of plastic and an HB pencil - in case of emergency, break glass .. heh

At least with computers we do save paper and not kill trees right? well..it helps anyway.
