Have just heard on the radio that the winner of the "Oz in 30 seconds" competition has been announced.
From 160 or so entries "This is what we Australi-ARE" is the winner.
A bit bland, methinks, but covers a lot of ground in the time available, and won't offend anyone. Whether it gets much "air time" remains to be seen. Apparently someone in the audience at the judging offered $10,000 to show it during prime time, but also mentioned in the radio item was that that amount of money would cover ONE spot, in ONE News schedule, in ONE capital city .. ah, the high price of "democracy".

Ummmm
Okay.
Not bad mate. Not bad at all.
Now get me Bob Hawke on the phone.
Herro.
Old Guambat is going through a blogging dry spell it looks like. He's quite well in real life though. I'll tell him his opinions are missed. ;)
Ah, thankyou for that, India, Most people put up a "gone on holiday" or "sick of this, not posting anymore" sort of note. Guambat Stew suddenly stopped, was wondering what had happened. Cheers.
I was a bit disappointed by the entries. Expected more anarchistic humour.
It's a bit like everything "online", Vincent. One has to trawl through vast amounts of mud and mullock to find anything really interesting .. heh.
There are some, though, if you go to youTube and type "John Howard" in the search box. Have to be patient and have lots of time, though.
