Because I am studying the Davo enigma
Hello Vincent.
I've got a newbie too, (v.keen) from Fort Worth, Texas. He/she/it doesn't seem to use the scroll bar just keeps on making visits to different posts. Putting the stats up markedly. So now there's, woa, SIX people coming a day!
Perhaps it's just me becoming hyper-paranoid since that announcement about the local "Paramilitaries".. heh.
(though did have a whole series of visits from an IP address registered in Arlington, Virginia some time back .. but they wouldn't be that stupid .. would they ??).
another one that is intriguing me mightily - am getting visits from odd places all round the world (latest from Kuwait) apparently from
this image. Can't figure out why.
Fascinating, Davo. I'll be looking more closely at my Sitemeter...
Lotta junk in those hit counter logs.
If you write about all and sundry things, you eventually have text to match any query and google will touch you for some strange and unlikely queries. For instance, this google search parameter from NZ last week:
"make my own bomb"
anyone you know?
Bombs? ODDD1. Nah, the only "bombs" that have ever been involved with, or interested in are the ones on four wheels .. heh.
Statcounter has the facility to put "labels" or "names" to regular "hits" but am not all that cluey about all that stuff. The ones that I think I know keep popping up with different IP addresses. Something to do with "proxy servers" or something.
Did a bittuva search for info on "Performance systems International" and yes there were a few questions about them, but didn't go into it in depth.
Whois is a good tool.

Eek!, just just occurred to me that an olde Aussie vernacular "slang" term might just land me in prison .. erk!
