Ephemeris 5

Davo's gone fer a bittuva read, or snooze, or whatever 'e does when 'e's not 'ere, so thort I'd sneak in an' avago again.

M'self have been sort of orf flitting round the ethernet, or internet or 'istorynet, or whatevva ya wanna call it. Easy fer me 'cos I'm a myth, or ghost, a spirit; or whatever ya wanna call it. Flit back'n forth in time, no problem.

(did ya know that "spirit" comes from one a them ancient Roman words, an' means "to breathe"? Funny that.. Did ya ever wonder where we all get "inspiration" from?)

Gotta keep breathing t' be inspired. Lots of clean air in outback Orstraya.

Jeez, have noticed a lotta interest in the notion of god. Dunno meself, I'm just a construct outa pure thought. Mebbe you people livin' in bodies orta wonder where thort comes from.

I've often thought that thoughts are like trains and my brain a railway station.

Where thoughts come from I have no idea, but what I wanna know is where do they go when they leave my brain....

Just a thought...

Geez, Gezz ..who knows what happens when when a person launches a thought into th air.

Who knows what happens if a seed is planted into dry ground. (can tellya a few stories about that, as well)

"I shot an arrow into the air,
where it lands I know not where."
Poet of some sort.. somewhere.(not me)

The poem is by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and it goes:
"I shot an arrow into the air;
It fell to earth I know not where.
For who has eyes so keen of sight
To follow an arrow in its flight?
I breathed a song into the air;
It fell to earth I know not where.
For who has ears so keen and strong
That it can follow the flight of song?
Long years afterward in an oak
I found the arrow, still unbroke.
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of a friend."

The scariest thing about it is the odd uses it gets put to

Where do godnotions come from? I was wonderin that
myself. Being as you are just a construct outta pure thought, I figure if you look around, yer apt to find a few godnotions in your vicinity since thoughtstuff is pretty much all anyone can show me when they start talking about deity.
My reading of things is that godnotions are pretty much such stuff as dream times are made of.

You succinctly pose questions that take volumes to write about. How do you do it? When a therapist was teaching me about mindful meditation, the instruction was to "Watch your thoughts as if you are simply viewing them and are separate from them. Then don't judge them. They are just thoughts." I never quite got the "just thoughts" thingie, but was able to enter into some verrrrry deep relaxation with her, so I guess she helped. I wished I knew where thoughts, souls and God really did come from. But I am focusing on the tangible too...

Spirit of the Living Wombat,
Fall afresh on me!

We at "The Gods Are Bored" love this sort of ancient stuff! We roll in it!

The only thing we have to say about thoughts is:

"I think, therefore I drink."

Y'all have a good day, and send us some spring! We's done sick and taard of winter.

Dunno Gerry, can be a bit harsh perhaps, but if y use that analogy yer just a passenger.
