Wandering ...

Images for 'What the? …??

Hello,
have no idea whether any of the following images would qualify – but here's the story.

Since the weather has warmed a bit, was wandering along the “Walk the Yorke” path near the end of Park St. North at Edithburgh last Wednesday (5th September).. Suddenly my faithful companion, Abbey, went off the path, pricked up one ear (she normally has floppy ears) and peered over the cliff top.

Um, think I, what's up. Peered over cliff and saw ..sound asleep, sunning itself
Pic

Do have a 30X zoom on camera, but clambered down to shoreline, snuck up on it.
Pics.

Have no idea how often seals are seen sunning themselves in this location … but raised its head, peered at me, then went back to sleep. Perhaps 'What the?' Could apply to the seal's expression.

Cheers,
David j. H

Beautiful. And what a great encounter to have on an 'ordinary' walk. Here in London, I'm more likely to encounter a homeless pesron sleeping in a doorway than a seal sunning itself.

Hi again Davoh - Not that it's important but I've just noticed that on your sidebar there's a link to "Natalie" (for which my thanks) but it links to a Google version of my blog, not the real thing, some kind selection. I don't know how it got there but anyway, here's the correct link to my Blogger blog. I'd appreciate your using it instead of the Google one:

I reckon it's a bull seal on vacation enjoying a few moments of solitude away from his nagging spouse. Nice and friendly too - being it gave you its seal of approval to capture it on film sunning it's self in the nude.

Um, Natalie .. what appears on this "my" original "Blogger" site seems to change (since guuurgle bought it) - so what you see may not be what the author intended ...

But hey - i don't mind - attitudes and technology are in continual flux. Yes, i regret some of the changes - but have no power ti influence anything anymore ...

And yes, Natalie .. seem to be becoming very lazy with the 'management' of this blog.
