[addendum: There is, apparently, some sort of discussion going on about about the use ofswear ugly words .. and this article by Helen Razer is rather amusing. Far be it from me to suggest that have never - nor now don't - use such angry words. There were quite a lot of them in use recently .. but mostly addressed towards computers and Microsoft. Fortunately (unless computers have ears) no humans were harmed].

yep, obscene, ugly, mostly un-necessary in 'civil' discourse and/or communication - and that's the point.
"potty-mouth" words are on the increase. Sheesh, and here's me under the deluded impression that people and civilisations actually "grow up".
.. and, oddly enough, am listening to Radio national at the moment - subject "Cultural anthropology".

The odd bit of swearing is understandable. However, when bad language is used as an all purpose adjective, it just shows up a shocking lack of vocabulary and, frankly, a lack of imagination laziness and probably, dare I say, a rather low IQ.

.. and yes .. there is a 'vocab' history of ye olde word "fuck". mostly originating from (now defunct) Saxony ..
