The vanishing of a tree

[warning .. some of these photo images are very large .. forgot to "cut them down" to suit "INTERNET" speed].

Am, I guess, like most middleclass, comfortable, law abiding citizens .. world wide .. I guess.

We read the "news" at breakfast, or whenevener, go 'tch, tch' .. and just 'get on' with our lives .. DO We Not? John Howard relies on these sort of voters. (John Howard is a consummate Politician. Fake or real, Win or lose .. he will walk away, and be supported, for the rest of his life .. with a very large amount of taxpayer's money.)

Don't think, just do it for the money.

An 'activist' is a "terrorist" ..? yes?

Think again, being falsely lulled into a sense of security and comfort is not necessarily of long term benefit (which leaves that statement wide open to philosophical, complicated, discussion).

I don't, on this blog, encourage that sort of discussion. Occasionally someone will make a comment that spurs a thought or two .. for which I thank them.

This is what I did today ..

Two trips to the local "green Waste" disposal station (one of which, by the way, the "Privatised" "Green Waste disposal Corp" still feels it necessary to charge $60 per trailer load.)

At that price, One wonders why I should not 'dump it by the roadside' .. and let the locals look after it .. sheesh, long story.. )

update info .. the tree was a Lillipilly, and had split most of the way down the trunk. Whatever one thinks about removing trees, this one lived in a suburban environment, outgrown its welcome, and was - with a bittuva breeze - in danger of demolishing a commercially pressed metal fence and at least two fancy, expensive, commercially available BarBQues, as well as a plastic "pergola". Heh.
