um, while at Machinegun keyboard, found a comment by sozz (another interesting read) and while am on the ""go there" kick .. ninglun has found via Kashmiri a very interesting "5000 years of Middle Eastern history in 90 seconds.
I can't help it if the majority of Americans think that history began in 1776.

A sizable percentage of Americans think history began 6000 years ago when God rested on the 7th day and finally had time to write in his diary.
Another chunk (percentage-wise) think it began the day before gas prices rose from $0.29 to $1.29 and haven't looked back since.
One more big bloc thinks history started in 1980, when Saint Ronald Reagan took office.
The rest are crammed into "other."
Thanks for dropping by!
mm, am beginning to think that the majority of the "new generation" believe that history begins the moment that they push the 'turn on the TV' button.
OR, according to Carl Rove, Rupert Murdoch ..and their minions ..
History Begins at September 11 ..
Bah! Bleah! Bushshit!!
Yeah, I was forgetting that group.
They wear bumperstickers: "9/11 We Will NEVER Forget". I'd like to smack them upside the head and tell them to Get Over It already.
I'd probably by lynched if I had a bumpersticker that said "9/11, Get Over It Already"
