Addendum to Sunday scribbles.

Have just come across a 'freebie' computer program that have become fascinated with. Yeah, yeah, I know .. *flibbertygibbet mind, mine. I should be concentrating on editing more video, or proofreading some more pages at Project Gutenberg, or loading more data into the Genealogy program, as have just recently been sent a whole heap of names and dates .. OR, more crucially, organising my "accounts" information so that I really know who owes me how many dollars .. drat .. not a high priority in my silly mind.

Funny really, most of them are "immediate" family .. i.e uncles, aunts and cousins, but such is our fractured society that have only ever known them as "Uncle Stan", or "Aunty Gwen".. "Max" or "Barry". Suddenly they have Birthdates, death dates, parents .. children and children's children. Fascinating.

Where was I? .. oh, yes .. the new computer program. I have boxes and boxes of Pens, pencils, crayons, brushes, paint - both water and oil - all gathering dust at the bottom of a tea-chest, and have been for 10-15 years.

This one is a hoot. Paint with a mouse-click onto the computer screen. All the "mediums" - paintbrush, pencil, crayon, chalk, etc. - behave pretty much as in "real" life. Very simple to use. Should really be allied with a plug-in pressure art-pad, but the mouse is a good start.

For those interested in these things, go to ArtRage and check it out. The "beginners"program is free to download.

This is a "five minute" exercise.

and NO, wasn't a 5 minute exercise. Took me 3 or 4 days, several hours and a bit of fiddling. Dunno what it "means" just yet, but thought to post it as some sort of example of what can be achieved.
