Have just been watching the Christmas pageant on TV, and had forgotten how spectacular it is, especially for a 'little old city' like Adelaide (population approx 1 mill.). It was originally set up by the (now extinct) department store "John Martins", some 70 years ago. Held at the end of November, it has grown bigger and better every year and is now "sponsored" by a combined group of Credit Unions.
