A man I never knew

My father.

1913 - 23rd March 1945

The scroll on the wall reads..

"Held in honour as one who served King and country in the world war of 1939-1945 and gave his life to save mankind from tyranny. May his sacrifice help to bring the peace and freedom for which he died."

Why anyone would "deliberately" instigate war is beyond my comprehension. The void created by my father's death cannot be adequately described. Cindy Sheehan speaks not only for grieving mothers, but also for the thousands of recently born.
The consequences stretch far into the future.
